The American Revolution affected American society by altering the form of government, trade, and loyalty to the British government.

gator10 - please make sure we know whose is whose. you are leaving out the 8 years of the revolution.

samantha - you are leaving out the 17 years after the revolution

need to make sure your thesis covers the time period

The American Revolution created a need for the use of paper money, united the colonies, and granted the colonists freedom from British laws and taxes.

After the American Revolution, America became unstably independent, trade was cut off from Britain and its other land components, and divisions between classes became less prominent.

The end of the American Revolutionary War changed American society with a new style of government, a bad relationship with Britain, and therefore at a disadvantage for trade, and also gave the now Americans a sense of pride.

Starting from the Revolutionary War, America went from the broken colonies of England and turned into a unified people sharing similar ideals, developed foreign alliances, the Articles of Confederation and then rewrote them into the Constituition, faced mounting debts, yet created a national identity by the end of the century. --- Robert Carpenter

American society was completely altered after the Revolutionary war. the colonies became an independent nation with its own government and politics, there was a new found nationalism and pride for this country, and it floated up and down the economic scale.
