On August 28, 1963, 200,000 Americans joined together for a March on Washington to support civil rights. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his "I Have A Dream" speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. On Easter Sunday, 1939, Marian Anderson gave a concert from the same steps.
